Play Sonic Rush Adventure (v01) (E) Online
Race as Sonic or Blaze through fast-paced levels, gather materials, and build boats to explore new islands in this 2007 Nintendo DS adventure.
Sonic Rush Adventure came out in 2007 for the Nintendo DS, developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega. It was part of that early DS era where developers were still figuring out how to use both screens in a way that felt meaningful, not just gimmicky. This one built on the foundation of the first Sonic Rush, keeping the same visual style and core speed but expanding the structure with a light seafaring element.
You control Sonic or Blaze, racing through side-scrolling stages filled with loops, ramps, and enemy robots. The main goal is to gather materials by completing levels, which you then use to build better boats for traveling the overworld map and accessing new islands. Signature mechanics include the Tension Gauge, which fills as you perform tricks on rails or in mid-air to unleash a super-fast boost, and the dual-screen level design that often sends you ricocheting between the top and bottom displays. The pacing is relentless in the action stages but punctuated by slower, resource-gathering boat trips. It feels like a constant push and pull between explosive speed and methodical exploration.
