Game Overview

This Sega Genesis Spider-Man game is basically a love letter to the '90s cartoon—same art style, same cheesy voice lines, and all the web-swinging you'd expect. The first level throws you right into it: you're swinging between skyscrapers, punching thugs in alleys, and dodging way too many projectiles (seriously, who throws this many knives?).

Controls take a second to get used to—wall-crawling feels a little sticky, and the web mechanics aren’t as smooth as later games—but once it clicks, you’ll be pulling off ridiculous mid-air flips just for fun. The boss fights are classic comic book stuff—Rhino charging through walls, Venom doing that creepy grin—and the soundtrack nails that Saturday morning cartoon vibe.

It’s janky in places, but if you grew up with the show, it’s pure nostalgia. Just don’t expect a free-roaming New York—this is straight-up arcade-style action.
