Spirit of Adventure came out in 1991 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Attic Entertainment Software. It was a time when many games relied on keyboard commands and simple graphics to build worlds, and this one fit right into that exploratory, puzzle-heavy niche without a lot of hand-holding.

You control a lone adventurer exploring a large, interconnected world screen by screen. The main goal is to gather several magical artifacts scattered across the land, each hidden in dungeons or guarded by creatures. You'll spend a lot of time pushing blocks, finding keys, and using items in clever ways to bypass obstacles; combat is minimal, mostly avoiding enemies rather than fighting them. The pacing is slow and thoughtful, with a high chance of getting stuck if you miss clues. It feels like piecing together a quiet, stubborn mystery where every small discovery matters.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
