Play Spy vs. Spy (Japan) on gbc Online

Ditch your buddy in a maze of cartoonish backstabbing—you’ll plant bombs, fake doors, and anvils while racing to grab the briefcase first. The chaos feels unfair until you start memorizing trap spots and suddenly it’s a sneaky war of sabotage.

Game Overview

Spy vs. Spy on the Game Boy Color is basically the OG split-screen sabotage game—way before it was cool. You and a friend play as those iconic black-and-white spies from MAD Magazine, running around a maze-like building setting traps for each other. Bombs, fake doors, falling anvils—the usual cartoon mayhem.

At first, it feels chaotic (why does the black spy keep stealing my briefcase?), but once you get the hang of trap placements and memorizing item spawns, it turns into this weirdly strategic backstab-fest. The pixel art nails the comic’s style, and the ticking clock adds just enough panic. Just don’t expect mercy from whoever you’re playing against.

It’s one of those games where losing is almost as fun as winning because the traps are so ridiculous.
