Game Overview

Striker on the Amiga nails that arcadey soccer vibe where you can just pick a team and start dribbling like a madman. The forced-perspective 3D makes the players look huge, almost comically so, but it works—you can actually see where you’re passing thanks to that scanner at the bottom of the screen. At first, I kept trying fancy through balls, but the real fun is in those zigzagging runs where the ball sticks to your feet like glue.

There’s a decent chunk of teams (64, all international), and the cup mode feels like a proper knockout tournament. I wasted way too much time tweaking formations before realizing my "defensive" setup just meant everyone stood around watching the other team score. You’ll figure out your own dumb strategies soon enough.

It’s not the prettiest or deepest soccer sim, but it’s got that one-more-match energy down pat.
