Stunt Car Racer on the Amiga is one of those games that looks simple at first—just a wireframe racer with ramps—but then completely hooks you. The physics feel surprisingly weighty for an old-school racer, and nailing a perfect jump without flipping your car takes real finesse. I remember spending way too much time trying to shave milliseconds off my lap times while also pulling off ridiculous mid-air spins.

The two-player split-screen mode is where it really shines, though. Nothing beats the chaos of both of you overshooting a landing and tumbling into the abyss. It’s janky in that charming late-80s way, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about mastering the quirks. Just don’t blame me when you start dreaming about loop-de-loops.
