Play Super Street Fighter II - The New Challengers (Europe) Online
The Genesis version nails the arcade feel—chunky sprites but slick combos, especially with the new fighters. Good luck against T. Hawk’s brutal grabs or Dee Jay’s sneaky knees.

Game Overview
Super Street Fighter II on the Genesis was the version that finally got me hooked on fighting games. Yeah, the graphics are a little chunky compared to the arcade, but the four new fighters—especially Cammy with her insane spiral arrow combos—made it feel fresh. The colors pop way more than in Turbo, and the soundtrack? Still slaps.
I spent way too many afternoons trying to figure out how to counter Dee Jay’s double knee press (hint: block low). The balance tweaks make matches less cheesy, though good luck facing a friend who mains T. Hawk—that guy hits like a truck. It’s the definitive 16-bit Street Fighter for me, even if the loading screens between fights drag a bit.
