Super Wagyan Land 2 came out on the Super Nintendo in 1993, developed by Namco. It was part of that wave of mid-90s platformers that felt experimental, a little off the beaten path, but still very much at home on the SNES. You don't see many games that play quite like this one.

You control a small, stretchy-tailed creature named Wagyan, navigating through a series of surreal, screen-by-screen levels. The main goal is simply to reach the exit in each stage, but the journey is the real point. Your tail is your main tool; you can use it to latch onto hooks and swing across gaps, or snap it against the ground to bounce higher. The levels themselves are full of oddball mechanics, like sections where gravity reverses and you walk on the ceiling, or areas filled with giant, living toys you have to avoid or outmaneuver. The pacing is brisk, and the challenge comes more from timing and spatial awareness than raw difficulty. It feels like solving a playful, physical puzzle with every jump and swing.
