Play Superman - The Man of Steel Online
Punch through bad guys and awkwardly auto-fly when you misjudge jumps—Brainiac’s goons hit harder than you’d expect from a guy who’s supposed to be bulletproof.

Superman: The Man of Steel came out for the Sega Master System in 1989, published by Tynesoft. It was one of the few games on the system that tried to capture the feel of a superhero adventure, back when licensed titles were often hit or miss. The graphics were colorful for the time, and it felt ambitious compared to some of the simpler platformers available.
You control Superman through side-scrolling levels, punching enemies and using your heat vision to clear obstacles. The main goal is to stop Brainiac by rescuing hostages and destroying his machines. One signature mechanic is the auto-flight that kicks in after a jump, which can be tricky to control and often sends you into hazards. Another is the way you switch between powers like super strength and heat vision with the pause menu, which breaks the flow. The game is fairly difficult, with enemies that respawn and some unforgiving platforming sections. It feels like a game that wants to be grand but gets in its own way with clunky controls.
