Game Overview

SWAT: Target Liberty throws you into a gritty, chaotic New York City where Korean Triads are running wild—robbing banks in broad daylight, taking hostages, and leaving the streets in panic. You play as Kurt Wolf, leading a squad of SWAT officers who aren’t just faceless grunts—each one has their own strengths, weaknesses, and upgradeable skills. The first time I played, I lost half my team because I didn’t realize the sniper couldn’t handle close-quarters combat. Lesson learned.

Missions are tense: clearing rooms, securing hostages (bonus points if they make it out unharmed), and gathering evidence while trying not to get shot. The AI keeps things unpredictable—enemies and hostages shuffle positions every time you replay a level, so no two runs feel the same. And if you get bored of the main campaign, you can build your own maps or go head-to-head with friends. Just watch out for those Triad shotgunners—they don’t mess around.
