Play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 Online
Pick a turtle, battle through levels, take down Foot Soldiers, and stop Shredder and Krang from messing with time in this NES side-scroller.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 came out on the NES in 1991, developed and published by Konami. It was part of that wave of late-era NES games that tried to squeeze a bit more out of the hardware before everyone moved on to the 16-bit consoles. You got a solid, colorful side-scroller that built on what the earlier games did.
You pick one of the four turtles and fight through levels packed with Foot Soldiers and other enemies, either solo or with a second player. The main goal is to stop Shredder and Krang from altering history, which means battling through time periods like feudal Japan. You use your character's specific weapon, like Leonardo's katana or Michelangelo's nunchaku, along with a limited supply of special attacks that clear the screen. The game is structured screen by screen; you have to clear all the enemies in one area before you can move to the next. It's fairly difficult, with enemy patterns that demand quick reactions, but it controls tightly. Playing it feels like a focused, sometimes frantic effort to keep your turtle alive against overwhelming numbers.
