Game Overview

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rising Sun on the GBA is basically the best way to feel like a pizza-loving, sewer-dwelling hero without leaving your couch. You pick your turtle—Leo’s got the reach with his swords, Raph’s all about close-up brawling—and then it’s just non-stop smashing through waves of Foot Clan goons. The animations are surprisingly smooth for a handheld game, and the levels mix sewers with rooftop chases so it never gets stale.

What I love is how it captures the vibe of the 2003 cartoon. The voice clips are cheesy in the best way, and fighting Shredder actually feels like a big deal. Grab a friend for co-op and it’s pure chaos—just don’t accidentally whack each other with a stray nunchuk swing. It’s not the deepest brawler out there, but sometimes you just wanna crack shells and yell "Cowabunga" unironically.
