Game Overview

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (EU) on GBA is a side-scrolling beat 'em up with some unexpected twists. At first, it feels like a standard turtle brawler—punching foot soldiers, jumping over manholes—but then it throws these weird racing segments at you. Donatello flying a glider, Raphael on a motorcycle duel. It's jarring but kinda fun.

The controls are stiff, like early GBA games often were. You pick a turtle, each with slightly different moves, but the combat never gets deep. Mostly just button mashing through waves of enemies until a boss shows up. The sewer racing parts are clunky but break up the repetition.

It's not a great game, but there's charm in seeing the turtles split up for their own weird little missions. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (EU) is one of those licensed games that tries too much but still has moments worth playing.
