Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (PC10) is a side-scrolling beat 'em up where you pick one of the four turtles and bash through waves of Foot Soldiers. The first level throws you right into it—alleys, sewers, enemies swarming from both sides. You quickly learn to watch for the knife guys; they'll mess you up if you just button mash.

The NES version adds a couple of extra stages, like fighting through a snow-covered Central Park, which feels oddly satisfying after the usual grimy city streets. The bosses are the highlight—Bebop and Rocksteady show up together, and you have to dodge their chaotic attacks while keeping an eye on the regular enemies still coming at you.

It's not deep, but there's something fun about the simplicity. Just don't expect the arcade experience—the NES version is slower, a little clunkier. Still, if you grew up with the cartoon, it hits the right nostalgia notes.
