Game Overview

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles [T-Span1.0] is a side-scrolling beat 'em up where you pick one of the four turtles and bash through waves of Foot Soldiers. The first level throws you right into the sewers—simple punches and kicks at first, but then enemies start pulling knives, and suddenly you're scrambling for health pickups.

The NES version adds a couple of extra stages, like a snowy Central Park fight where the screen scrolls vertically. Boss battles are the highlight—Bebop and Rocksteady attack together, and Stockman turns into this weird fly thing halfway through the fight. It's chaotic, especially with two players crowding the screen.

Some of the enemy placements feel cheap, and the hit detection isn't always great, but there's a weird charm to it. You can tell it was made during the TMNT hype era—just pure, messy arcade energy crammed into a cartridge.
