Game Overview

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the GBA is basically the arcade brawler you remember, just shrunk down to fit in your pocket. You pick your favorite turtle—Leo’s got reach with his swords, Raph’s fast but a little reckless—and start smashing Foot Clan goons right away. The first level dumps you straight into the sewers, and within minutes you’re dodging throwing stars and kicking dudes into glowing green ooze.

What surprised me was how good it feels to play. The attacks have this satisfying crunch, especially when you land a special move and the screen flashes. And yeah, the pixel art’s great—Donnie’s bo staff actually looks like it’s spinning instead of just being a blurry stick. Shredder shows up later looking properly menacing, all spiky shoulders and glowing eyes.

Grab a friend for co-op if you can. It gets chaotic when both of you are whipping through enemies, but in the best way. Just don’t hog all the pizza power-ups.
