Game Overview

Remember that old-school arcade beat 'em up where you and your friends could bash Foot Soldiers as the Ninja Turtles? This is the one. You pick your favorite turtle—Leo’s swords feel faster, but Donnie’s bo staff has better reach—and plow through waves of enemies to save April from Shredder. The Foot Clan guys go down easy, but watch out for the knife-wielding ones; they’ll mess you up if you just button-mash.

The Amiga version keeps it simple: just you (or a buddy) smashing through iconic levels like the Technodrome, fighting familiar bosses like Bebop and Rocksteady. The NES port added some extra stuff—snowy Central Park, a dojo level—but this one’s pure arcade chaos. By the time you reach Shredder, you’ll have thrown a lot of pizzas (seriously, why are there so many pizza power-ups?).

It’s not deep, but it’s a solid couch co-op time capsule from when the Turtles were everywhere. Cowabunga.
