Game Overview

Remember that old-school TMNT arcade beat-'em-up from Konami? This is the one where April gets snatched by Shredder (classic move), and the turtles bash their way through waves of Foot Soldiers to save her. You pick your favorite turtle—Leo's swords feel precise, Mikey's nunchucks are wild but slow—and start wrecking dudes left and right. Some enemies pull knives or lasers on you, which, rude.

The Amiga version keeps it simple: just you and maybe a buddy smashing through levels until you hit big bads like Bebop and Rocksteady tag-teaming you. The NES version got extra stuff later—snowy park fights, a dojo level, even Baxter Stockman as a freaky fly boss—but this original arcade port nails that chaotic couch-coop vibe. Nothing beats four players crammed around a screen, yelling when someone steals all the pizza power-ups.

It's not deep, but man, does it feel good to uppercut a Foot Soldier into the sewer.
