Game Overview

Ever wanted to see Fred Flintstone jump around like Mario? This weird little SNES gem mixes a board game with platforming—you roll dice to move across a map, then hop into side-scrolling levels when you land on certain spots. Fred and Barney bash enemies with clubs, climb stuff, and even hover for a second if you hold the jump button (weirdly useful).

The levels are packed with apples for health, stars for extra lives, and clamps that work as cash for buying food at cafes. Some spaces throw you into boss fights or timed item hunts, while amusement parks have goofy mini-games—like pelting monkeys with coconuts before they steal your stuff. My favorite part? Stadiums unlock new abilities, like double jumps, if you win their challenges (the 3D cart races are janky but fun).

Watch out for Wilma and Betty, though. Run into them, and they’ll drag you backward a few spaces—because of course they would. Other characters might help if you beat them in races, but mostly it’s just Fred and Barney bumbling toward treasure while the whole town gets in the way. Oh, and there’s two-player mode if you want to drag a friend into this mess. It’s way more charming than it has any right to be.
