Play The King of Fighters EX2 - Howling Blood (U)(Mode7) Online
Chunky but smooth GBA fighter with new faces like Moe—three-on-three brawls feel surprisingly tight, and the AI actually fights smart instead of spamming. That SNK guitar still rips through tinny speakers.

Game Overview
So The King of Fighters EX2 on GBA is basically the sequel to the first portable KOF, and honestly? It’s way better than it has any right to be. They squeezed in some new faces this time—like Moe and Reiji—who never showed up in the main series, which is cool if you’re into deep cuts. The sprites are chunky but clean, and the moves actually feel responsive for a handheld fighter.
First match in, you’ll notice the usual three-on-three chaos, but the AI doesn’t just spam specials like some GBA fighters do. I got wrecked by a random CPU Athena at first because I forgot how aggressive she is in this version. Also, the soundtrack’s got that classic SNK guitar shredding, just compressed enough to make your Game Boy speakers buzz.
It’s not perfect—some backgrounds look like muddy pixel soup—but for a pocket-sized KOF, it’s weirdly addictive. You’ll probably main Iori out of habit anyway.
