Play The Last Battle Online
You play as Kurt, a rookie mage whose simple gem-fetching quest spirals into war when your village gets attacked—now you're juggling semi-auto battles where your party fights on their own unless you step in.

The Last Battle was a Super Nintendo Entertainment System release from 1990, developed by Seta and published by Activision. It arrived early in the console's life, a time when many developers were still figuring out how to translate the action-RPG formula to the 16-bit era.
You control Kurt, a young mage whose simple mission to retrieve a gem quickly turns into a fight for survival after his village is attacked. The main objective involves traveling across the land, clearing out enemy forces and navigating through towns and dungeons to uncover the source of the conflict. Combat is semi-automatic; your party members act on their own unless you pause to issue specific commands or cast spells directly. You explore the world screen by screen, battling monsters, gathering clues from townsfolk, and gradually upgrading your equipment. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty can feel unforgiving, especially in some of the later enemy encounters. It feels like managing a small, sometimes unruly squad through a world that doesn't wait for you to catch up.
