So, The Lost Vikings—this old MS-DOS gem is basically a puzzle-platformer where you control three kidnapped Vikings trying to escape an alien zoo. Yeah, it’s as weird as it sounds. You’ve got Erik, the speedy one who can jump and headbutt walls; Baleog, the fighter with a sword and infinite arrows (handy for hitting switches); and Olaf, who blocks attacks with his shield and can even turn it into a makeshift glider or stepping stone.
The real trick is swapping between them to solve puzzles—like using Olaf’s shield as a platform so Erik can reach a ledge, or sniping a switch with Baleog’s bow while the others hold off enemies. One wrong move and someone’s taking damage (or worse, falling into a pit). It’s got that classic trial-and-error vibe where you’ll restart levels a lot, but figuring out the right combo of moves feels satisfying. Just don’t expect any hand-holding—this one makes you work for it.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
