Remember that weird old Simpsons game where Bart runs around Springfield fighting aliens disguised as regular people? Yeah, this is the one. You play as Bart trying to stop these space mutants from collecting random stuff like purple objects and balloons to build their evil machine.

The first level has you running around town covering up anything purple—painting over signs, throwing pies at stuff, even tricking Moe into leaving his bar so you can mess with his purple bottles. It’s oddly satisfying once you figure out all the ways to sabotage their plans.

You’ll need to collect alien coins (left behind when you jump on disguised mutants) to prove the invasion is real—otherwise no one believes you, not even Homer. And those X-ray specs? Lifesaver for spotting who’s actually an alien in disguise. Just don’t expect it to be easy—some of the platforming is brutal, and the puzzles take some trial and error.

It’s janky in that classic early ‘90s way, but there’s something charming about how creative the objectives are compared to typical platformers. You’ll either love it or throw your controller at the wall by level two.
