Game Overview

I first played The Terminator: Future Shock back in 1995, when it came out for MS-DOS. Bethesda Softworks published it, and it was one of those early attempts at a fully 3D first-person shooter. At the time, it felt like a glimpse into what gaming could become, even if the hardware struggled to keep up. You really had to have a decent machine to run it smoothly, but when it worked, it was something else.

You control a resistance fighter sent into the ruins of Los Angeles to complete missions against Skynet. The main objective is to survive, gather intel, and destroy key targets. The game uses a mouse to look around freely, which was pretty advanced for its time, and you can drive vehicles like a jeep to cover ground faster. The pacing is tense; enemies pop out from behind crumbling walls, and ammo is scarce. It feels raw and unpredictable, like you're really fighting for your life in a broken world.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
