If you grew up with the SNES, you probably remember The Terminator—that weird little action game based on the movie. You play as Kyle Reese, sprinting through post-apocalyptic ruins and '80s Los Angeles, blasting T-800s and random street thugs (because apparently, even cops are out to get you).
The first level throws you right into the future war, which is cool until you realize your gun feels like it’s shooting marshmallows. But hey, at least the driving sections nail that frantic "oh-crap-the-Terminator’s-gaining-on-us" vibe—dodging traffic while Sarah screams in the passenger seat never gets old. Just don’t expect it to hold up like the film did.
It’s janky, it’s hard, and the platforming’s awkward, but there’s something weirdly charming about it. Like most movie tie-ins from that era, it’s more of a nostalgia trip than a hidden gem.
