Game Overview
Thunder Heroes is one of those arcade brawlers that feels like it was plucked straight from the late '90s—but with way crisper animations. You pick from a roster of lightning-powered fighters (my go-to is the guy with the spiked gauntlets) and just start wrecking waves of enemies. The first level throws you right into it—no long tutorials, just dodging, punching, and unleashing super moves that fill the screen with sparks.
What surprised me was how smooth the controls are. Even when the screen’s packed with enemies and effects, your character responds exactly how you’d expect. And yeah, it’s tough—you’ll probably lose a few credits before getting the hang of timing your dodges—but that’s part of the charm. If you miss arcade cabinets and that rush of barely scraping by a boss fight, this nails it.
