Transformers: War for Cybertron - Autobots came out on the Nintendo DS in 2010, published by Activision. It was part of that wave of DS games that tried to bring big console experiences to the handheld, and it fit right in with its chunky, polygonal look. You don't get the full home console version, but it's a solid attempt to capture that transforming robot action on the smaller screen.

You control one of the Autobots, like Optimus Prime or Bumblebee, moving through linear levels to fight off the Decepticon invasion. The core loop is straightforward: you blast enemies with your laser cannon, punch them up close, and frequently transform into your vehicle mode to ram through barriers or quickly traverse open areas. The game is broken into distinct combat and exploration segments, often requiring you to find key cards or destroy generators to progress. The pacing is generally quick, though the difficulty can spike unexpectedly during some of the boss fights. It feels satisfying to seamlessly switch between robot and vehicle forms to solve simple environmental puzzles and overwhelm enemy waves.
