Play Virtual Pro Wrestling 64 (J) Online

Dodging stiff kicks and timing reversals feels weighty—matches build tension like real wrestling, not just button mashing. The roster’s full of hard-hitting Japanese wrestlers, and every suplex looks like it actually hurts.

Game Overview

Virtual Pro Wrestling 64 is one of those N64 wrestling games that actually gets the feel of the sport right—none of that arcadey button-mashing. The grappling system’s surprisingly deep, where timing and positioning matter way more than just hammering the A button. You’ve got a solid mix of Japanese wrestlers (some real, some fictional), and the moves look legit, from suplexes to stiff kicks.

At first, I thought it’d just be another clunky N64 brawler, but the way reversals flow and matches build momentum makes it way more strategic. Create-a-wrestler’s there if you want to tweak someone, but honestly, the default roster’s fun enough to keep you busy. Matches can get brutal, especially when you’re trading strikes in the corner or barely kicking out of pins.

If you’ve played Fire Pro or just miss when wrestling games had weight to them, this one’s a hidden gem. It’s aged better than most N64 sports titles.
