Game Overview

Vs. Tennis is one of those old-school arcade gems that somehow makes pixelated tennis feel way more intense than it should. You’ve got simple controls—just a joystick and a couple of buttons—but the matches get surprisingly heated. The ball physics are weirdly satisfying, especially when you nail a perfect lob or a sneaky drop shot.

It’s best with a friend (because crushing the AI is fun, but crushing a real person is way better). Doubles mode gets chaotic fast, with all four players scrambling for the ball. The graphics are basic, obviously, but there’s something charming about the little player sprites diving dramatically for returns.

If you’ve got a soft spot for retro sports games, this one’s a solid time-waster.
