Game Overview

Vulcan: The Tunisian Campaign is a 1990 MS-DOS release from developer Vulcan Software. It arrived during a period when war simulations were gaining complexity, offering a focused take on North African desert warfare without the cinematic flair of later titles.

You command a single Allied tank crew, navigating grid-based maps of arid terrain while managing scarce ammunition and fuel. The primary goal is to locate and destroy enemy armor and installations without being detected or overwhelmed. Key mechanics include careful movement across varied ground types, line-of-sight based engagement, and resource conservation under persistent threat. The pacing is deliberate, almost tense, with mistakes often proving fatal. It feels like a high-stakes game of hide and seek where every decision carries weight.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
