Warp & Warp is one of those old-school arcade games where you’re constantly on edge—you play as this little ship (or monster fighter, whatever it is) trapped in a maze with these relentless yellow creatures. At first, they’re slow, almost cute, but don’t get comfortable. Once they turn red, they’re basically hunting you down, and by the time they’re purple? Good luck.

The warp zone in the middle is your only escape—when it flashes, you’d better get there fast. And keep an eye out for the frog that randomly hops in. Shooting it gives you bonus points, which feels oddly satisfying. The controls are simple, but the tension ramps up fast. One wrong move and you’re swarmed.

It’s the kind of game where you’ll lean into the screen without realizing it, muttering “no no no” as the purple monsters close in.
