Game Overview

WW2 Air Force Commander was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a compilation that brought together various titles from the platform's early years. It was developed by Impressions Games and published by Sierra On-Line, fitting into a period when flight simulators were gaining complexity but still relied heavily on player imagination and straightforward mechanics.

You take command of a lone fighter pilot, tasked with completing bombing runs, escort missions, and intense dogfights against enemy aircraft. The primary objective is to survive each sortie and inflict as much damage as possible on Axis forces. Key mechanics include managing your plane's fuel and ammunition, navigating using a simple map interface, and engaging in combat with a targeting reticle that requires careful leading of shots. The pacing is relentless; enemy fighters appear without warning, and flak fills the sky around bombing targets. It feels tense and demanding, a constant test of reflexes and situational awareness where every decision carries weight.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
