Xanadu’s the weirdly fitting battleground, and the fights feel like a mix of classic arcade fighter and RPG flair—you’ve got MP meters, super moves, even little quirks like Estelle’s staff whacks feeling weightier than, say, a quick sword combo. It’s chaotic in the best way when you pull off a team attack and wipe half the health bar in one go.

Not gonna lie, some characters feel way more broken than others (looking at you, Kevin), but that just makes unlocking everyone and experimenting part of the fun. The sprite work’s gorgeous, too—like someone took the best parts of both series’ art and cranked up the energy. If you’ve ever played either franchise, it’s a ridiculous love letter with way more depth than you’d expect from a crossover fighter.
