Play Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders Online
You play a tabloid reporter chasing aliens who dumb down humanity through phone lines—solve bizarre puzzles with a rubber chicken, recruit a talking dog, and uncover ancient tech from Earth to Mars. It’s that kind of weird.

Zak McKracken is this weird, hilarious point-and-click adventure from the late '80s where you play as a tabloid reporter trying to stop aliens from turning everyone on Earth into idiots—literally. The Caponians are messing with people’s brains using phone lines (which, honestly, feels weirdly relevant now), and it’s up to Zak and his ragtag crew—a scientist, two college students, and eventually a talking dog—to find ancient alien tech scattered across Earth and even Mars to stop them.
The puzzles are classic LucasArts ridiculousness—expect to use a rubber chicken as a bungee cord at some point—and the writing’s full of dumb tabloid jokes that somehow still land. It’s janky in that old-school way where you’ll get stuck for hours because you forgot to pick up a random soda can, but that’s part of the charm. If you’re into retro adventure games with a sense of humor, this one’s a trip.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
