This GBA double pack gives you two solid Castlevania adventures in one cartridge—though they couldn’t feel more different. Harmony of Dissonance nails that classic whip-cracking, candle-smashing vibe with Juste Belmont (who moves like he’s on ice skates, honestly). Meanwhile, Aria of Sorrow flips the script with Soma Cruz’s weird soul-stealing mechanic—it’s basically Symphony of the Night’s cooler younger cousin.
Harmony’s got those chunky, bright sprites and brutal platforming, while Aria goes moody with its gothic castle and RPG-lite systems. I bounced between both depending on whether I wanted to suffer through spike pits or grind for monster abilities. The cartridge itself feels like a weird time capsule of Castlevania’s evolution.
