Game Overview

This GBA double pack gives you two solid Castlevania games for the price of one—Harmony of Dissonance and Aria of Sorrow. Both are side-scrollers, but they feel totally different. Harmony’s got that classic whip-cracking Belmont action (you play as Juste, trying to save his friend), while Aria throws you into the shoes of Soma Cruz, a kid who can steal enemy souls to gain their abilities. Feels way closer to Symphony of the Night.

Harmony’s a bit stiff at first if you’re used to later Metroidvanias, but the castle layout’s satisfying once you adjust. Aria’s the real gem here though—the soul system adds so much variety, and I kept getting distracted just hunting down cool abilities. The music’s a little tinny on Harmony, but Aria’s soundtrack holds up surprisingly well for a GBA game.

If you’ve got a soft spot for pixel-art vampires and sprawling castles, this cart’s a no-brainer.
