You control Aladdin, moving through side-scrolling levels that recreate scenes from the movie. Your main goal is to rescue Princess Jasmine from the villain Jafar. You use a scimitar to fight off enemies like palace guards and desert thugs; you also spend a lot of time platforming, jumping between carpets, ledges, and bouncing on cushions. Apples serve as your projectile weapon for hitting enemies from a distance. The game moves at a quick pace, and some sections demand precise jumps and timing. It feels responsive and light, even when the difficulty starts to pick up in later stages. Playing it gives you that classic platformer rush of nailing a tricky sequence and seeing a new part of Agrabah open up.
