Game Overview

Apple Panic came out in 1981 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Ben Serki. It was one of those early PC titles that felt right at home on the platform, a straightforward arcade-style game built for quick sessions and high-score chasing. There wasn't a lot of flash to it, just solid, simple design that fit the hardware of the time.

You control a little character trapped on a single screen filled with maze-like walls and enemy blobs that home in on your position. Your main objective is to survive as long as possible by digging small pits in the ground to trap the enemies as they chase you. The screen doesn't scroll; everything happens in one tight, claustrophobic space. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty ramps up quickly as more enemies appear. One wrong move and you're cornered almost instantly. It feels tense and frantic, a pure test of quick thinking and even quicker fingers.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
