Game Overview

Art of Fighting 2 is that perfect middle ground between the janky first game and the later Fatal Fury series. You still get that classic Neo Geo pixel art style, but with way more polish—special moves actually work now, and thank god you aren’t stuck playing just Ryo or Robert in single-player anymore.

The story’s a mess in the best way possible: turns out Mr. Karate was Ryo and Yuri’s dad all along, Geese Howard’s pulling strings (because of course he is), and there’s even a younger, cockier version of Geese waiting at the end if you manage to go flawless. The roster’s stacked with returning faces plus some wild new additions—like a Mongolian trucker named Temjin and Eiji, who’s basically just here to hate the Sakazaki family.

It’s still got that old-school difficulty, but at least now you can actually pull off a dragon punch without wanting to throw your controller. If you’re into 90s fighters with weird lore and big sprites, this one’s a blast.
