Game Overview

Power Rangers – The Fighting Edition on the Sega Genesis is one of those weirdly specific nostalgia trips—instead of the usual side-scrolling brawler, it’s a full-on fighting game where you can pick your Ranger (or, hilariously, Rita Repulsa) and throw down. The sprites are chunky in that perfect 16-bit way, and yeah, the Megazord finishers are as ridiculous as you’d hope. It’s not the deepest fighter out there, but there’s something deeply satisfying about spamming the Pink Ranger’s bow attack until your friend rage-quits.

Honestly, half the fun is just hearing those digitized "HAI-YAH!" sound effects between rounds. If you ever daydreamed about suplexing Goldar as the Green Ranger, this game delivers in the dumbest, most wonderful way possible.
