Game Overview

Okay, so Art of Fighting is one of those classic Neo Geo brawlers that feels like stepping into a time machine—but not in a bad way. It’s got that raw, pixelated charm where every punch sounds like it could crack concrete, and the characters look like they walked straight out of a ‘90s arcade poster. You pick from a roster of fighters, each with their own exaggerated special moves (Ryo’s fireball is still stupidly satisfying to land).

What’s cool is how simple it is—no complicated combos or meters to juggle, just straight-up slugfests where timing matters way more than button mashing. The AI isn’t messing around, though. One wrong move, and you’ll eat a counterattack that takes half your health. And yeah, the graphics are dated, but there’s something weirdly hypnotic about the way the sprites stretch and distort during supers.

If you’ve got a buddy, the co-op mode turns it into a proper back-alley brawl where you can team up or just accidentally punch each other in the chaos. It’s not the deepest fighter out there, but sometimes you just want to throw a dragon punch and watch the screen shake. That’s Art of Fighting in a nutshell.
