Game Overview

Battle Cheese was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though it never had a formal retail release. It was developed by a small team whose name doesn't come to mind, but it fit right in with the kind of experimental, quirky titles that popped up in shareware circles during the early '90s. The game didn't try to be epic; it was just a straightforward, oddball concept built for quick sessions.

You control a mouse, dodging chunks of flying cheddar lobbed by an opponent, then take your turn to aim and ricochet wedges of Swiss cheese off the walls. Matches are fast, almost frantic, with simple keyboard controls that let you focus on angles and timing rather than complex commands. The goal is to outlast the other player or the AI by landing more hits, and the physics of the bouncing cheese add a layer of unpredictability to every round. It feels silly and tense at the same time, like a food fight with stakes.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
