Play Betrayal at Krondor Online
You guide a ragtag crew through Midkemia’s foggy forests, pausing every few steps to carefully position your party in turn-based skirmishes—half the time you’re reading pages of surprisingly decent fantasy prose between fights.

Betrayal at Krondor came out in 1993 for MS-DOS, developed by Dynamix. It was one of those games that felt different from the typical fantasy adventures of the time, built on a world from Raymond E. Feist's novels. You didn't just run through another generic dungeon; you traveled across a whole kingdom, with a story that unfolded like a book.
You control a small group of characters, switching between them as you explore the world screen by screen. Your main goal is to uncover a conspiracy threatening the realm, which involves talking to NPCs, solving puzzles, and fighting enemies in tactical, turn-based combat. You manage equipment, learn spells, and even mix potions, all while dealing with a difficulty that makes every encounter matter. It feels like directing your own fantasy novel, where every decision carries weight.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
