Game Overview

Trust and Betrayal: The Legacy of Siboot came out in 1987 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Chris Crawford. It was a strange, ambitious title even for its time, a period when experimental games often pushed beyond simple action or adventure. This one stood out for its focus on pure psychological interaction, a rarity on any platform back then.

You control a dream traveler who must gather information by negotiating with other characters, each represented by a floating, expressive face. Your main goal is to solve a murder by trading secrets, but every exchange is a high-stakes mind game. You offer information, gauge reactions, and call out bluffs, all while managing a limited pool of trust. The pacing is slow and deliberate, the difficulty unforgiving; a single poor judgment can ruin hours of progress. It feels like being trapped in a tense, silent debate where every smile might hide a knife.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
