Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure on MS-DOS is basically the movie turned into a weird little time-travel scavenger hunt. You bounce between historical eras—ancient Greece, medieval England, the Wild West—trying to convince famous figures like Socrates or Napoleon to come back to San Dimas for your history report. The catch? You’ve got a strict time limit, just like in the film, so you can’t just mess around. One wrong move, and suddenly Billy the Kid’s wandering off while you’re stuck explaining to your teacher why your presentation is just an empty phone booth.

The controls are janky (it’s MS-DOS, after all), and some of the dialogue choices feel random at first. But there’s something oddly charming about watching Lincoln deliver his most excellent speech in a high school gym. If you’re into retro games or just love the movie’s dumb humor, it’s worth a shot—just don’t expect it to hold your hand.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
