Game Overview

Black Zone was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though it wasn't originally bundled with any numbered release. Developed by Silmarils, it came out during a time when PC gaming was heavily focused on keyboard controls and abstract, often unforgiving, design. The game drops you into a stark, wireframe world with a simple premise: survive.

You control a small triangular ship, navigating a single-screen maze filled with patrolling enemy robots. Your goal is to collect all the dots scattered around the level while avoiding contact with any foes; touching them means instant death. The core mechanics involve memorizing enemy movement patterns, strategically using temporary invincibility power-ups, and planning efficient routes to grab dots without getting cornered. The pacing is relentless from the start, and the difficulty is punishing, demanding precise timing and spatial awareness. It feels like a tense game of high-stakes hide and seek where one wrong move resets all your progress.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
