Bust-A-Move Millennium came out for the Game Boy Color in 2001, published by Acclaim and developed by Taito. It was one of those games that felt right at home on the handheld, offering a familiar puzzle experience you could pick up anywhere. You control a small cannon at the bottom of the screen, aiming and firing colored bubbles upward to match groups of three or more of the same color. The main goal is to clear the entire screen of bubbles before they descend too far. Key mechanics include banking shots off the side walls to reach tricky angles and creating chain reactions by popping one group to drop others. The game starts gently but ramps up steadily, demanding quicker decisions as the bubbles pile up. It feels satisfying to set off a big combo and watch the screen clear in a flash.
