Game Overview

Man, Cannon Fodder on the Sega Genesis is brutal in the best way. You control this little squad of soldiers from above, moving them through jungles, deserts, and enemy bases where everything wants them dead. The first few missions trick you into thinking it's manageable—then suddenly you're getting swarmed from all sides, watching your guys drop one by one.

What really sticks with me is how the game makes you care about your troops. They’ve got names, ranks, and if they survive long enough, they level up. But let’s be real—most won’t. The difficulty spikes hard, and you’ll restart missions just to save that one veteran who’s been with you since mission three. It’s punishing, but weirdly addictive once you get the hang of flanking and using cover.

Also, the soundtrack slaps. That little heroic tune when you finish a mission? Perfect. Just don’t get too attached to anyone.
