Man, Cannon Fodder on the Game Boy Color is brutal in the best way. You control a squad of little soldiers from above, sending them into chaotic firefights where one wrong move means instant death. At first, it feels manageable—just clear out enemies, grab some weapons, and move on—but then the levels start throwing insane ambushes, tight corridors, and way too many guys with rocket launchers at you.

What’s cool is how your soldiers actually have names (RIP Jools and Jops, my first casualties), and when they die, they’re gone for good. The difficulty spikes hard after the first few missions, so you’ll be restarting a lot, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about finally nailing that perfect flank or barely scraping through with one guy left. Just don’t expect to finish it in a weekend.
