Play Cannon Fodder on Snes Online

Command a squad of little soldiers through chaotic top-down battles—dodging behind trees, tossing grenades, and watching your roster thin with every mistake. The controls feel clunky at first, then suddenly make perfect sense when you're scrambling to outmaneuver enemy tanks.

Game Overview

Ever played a game that feels like a mix of Lemmings and an old-school war flick? That’s Cannon Fodder on SNES. You’re in charge of a squad of up to six little soldiers, sending them into 72 levels of chaotic top-down combat. The controls take a second to click—highlight a guy or group, press one button to move, another to shoot—but once it does, you’re tossing grenades (both buttons at once) and scrambling for cover behind trees like it’s second nature.

Some missions throw tanks at you (thankfully drivable), others force you to hold bridges because your guys can’t shoot while wading through water. The AI isn’t dumb either—enemies will use the terrain against you, popping out from behind rocks or trees. Lose a soldier, and their name stays crossed off in the roster. It’s weirdly brutal for a game with such tiny, cheerful-looking troops.

It’s one of those games where you’ll restart a level just to save your favorite guy from an unlucky rocket blast.
